PhD student, Michigan State University
I am a biologist (BSc and teaching degree) and ecologist (MSc) graduated by the University of Campinas, Brazil. In 2021, I joined the PhD program in Community Sustainability at MSU as a Fulbright fellow. My research is grounded on a social-ecological systems approach and on resilience theory and practice. I'm specifically interested in how to foster change towards desirable futures through the co-creation of positive scenarios. Participatory methods and community engagement are also at the basis of my work, and I seek to develop science that can be useful for the local communities and decision-makers that are my partners in research development. Outside academia, I enjoy gardening, traveling, biking, learning new languages and spending time with my friends.
